The developers of the handy Dingleberry application which has been designe to enable BlackBerry PlayBook owners to root their devices. Have this week rolled out a new update to the software taking it to Dingleberry 3, and included a number of great new features to make rooting your PlayBook even easier.
The new Dingleberry 3 application now includes an easy rollback feature allowing you to downgrade your PlayBook software with ease. Which is necessary to root the device after Research In Motion rolled out a software update for their BlackBerry PlayBook that closed the security hole exploited by Dingleberry.
Once you have rolled back the PlayBook software you are then able to use the new Dingleberry 3 application to successfully root your device. Providing you with escalated privileges to settings and files. Lettets you perform some great additions on your PlayBook. Such as installing the Google Android market as well as streaming video from Hulu to name a few.
The latest version of the Dingleberry application can be downloaded from the developer’s website, and Dingleberry 3.0 is now supported on Windows, Linux and Mac systems. Enjoy!
