Sony Vaio Z ultrabook specs

You are probably familiar with the Sony Vaio laptop series. In a new ultrabook world with ultra portable and performant devices, Sony introduced its rival to Apple’s Macbook Air. Other PC manufacturers have also unveiled their stylish, very thin and light ultrabooks such as Toshiba, Asus or Lenovo.


Much more thinner than its predecessor, the Vaio Z is a 13.1-inch ultrabook with 1600×900 pixels resolution that weighs about 1.2kg including the battery and just 16.7 mm at its thickest point. Regarding its internal specs, it packs Intel’s i7 processor clocked at 2.66GHz with another i5 model available, 256GB SSD, 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM and up to seven hours of battery life plus 7 hours sheet battery, giving a total of 14 hours.

In terms of RAM memory, it comes with 1GB, an AMD Radeon 6650M GPU plus a power media dock that has USB 3.0, HDMI port, VGA plus an additional USB channel. It integrates the new Thunderbolt technology. Regarding the sotware part, it comes with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

The ultra mobile notebook is already available on the market for a price over $1000.
