Intel Light Peak: data transfer speed 10 Gbps

Light Peak is a latest technology from Intel that uses optical cables as media transfer speed currently reaches only 10 Gbps. Why do we say only 10 Gbps due to be introduced when this technology is a start but in the future, Light Peak can transfer data many times faster than 10 Gbps. This is because the optical cable itself can be used to speed up almost unlimited.

Light Peak It could not stand alone in the sense that need some adapters to make two pieces of devices may communicate with each other (sort of converter) but going forward, the Light Peak will make these converters together in the computer and can replace the USB cable, DisplayPort and HDMI.

At the time of the demo, it was shown how the two movies in HD format can be streamed seamlessly to the LCD screen with this Light Peak technology.
