A connection that is named Thunderbolt which promises speeds transfers data up to 10 Gbps will be used on New Macbook. What Is Thunderbolt aka Intel Light Peak? Actually this technology is same to Intel Light Peak which we already discussed some time ago but Apple uses Thunderbolt as its name.
Transfer speed of 10 Gbps certainly faster than USB 3.0 with max transfer data only 4.8 Gbps or even FireWire 800.
Although promising at the same speed connection reached 10 Gbps there is little difference in each of the conductors of this connection, if at the Intel Light Peak has been using Fiber cable while the Thunderbolt still using copper wires.
Thunderbolts also can connect with some existing connections in your computer such as PCI Express, DisplayPort, USB 3.0, SATA, and others just need to have previous settings to get connected.
Of course, for those of you who have quite a lot of data and want to move will be greatly assisted with this connection.
