The aroma of this tea is absolutely delicious. My mouth started watering as soon as I opened the foil pouch! This fragrance softens a bit after brewing, but, it still smells so good.
This is a very sweet, fruity tea. I like the way the peach and passion fruit play together – they seem to accent each other very well and bring out the very best in each other.
The black tea is not particularly strong in this blend, and I feel like the tea could benefit from a stronger base or perhaps a little less flavoring in the tea to encourage the tea flavor to emerge a little more.
That being said, there is really no notable bitterness to the tea – a very good thing! – and the astringency, while slightly drying, is light. I think that this tea would be a good one for someone who doesn’t like black tea because it possesses none of the harshness that is sometimes associated with black tea. It’s just a very smooth, even taste that is very drinkable.
Ahmed Tea describes this tea as
A refreshing blend of exclusive quality teas enhanced with fruit flavour. A delicious cup of tea for any time of the day, which can be served both hot and cold.
I agree with the description, because of it’s somewhat lighter black tea base, it would be good for any time of the day, and even though this is quite delicious hot, I prefer it iced – it is light and sweet, but not too sweet. A good alternative to some of those RTD bottled teas that are loaded with sugar!
This tea is makes a great sun tea too! Just tie a few of the teabags together, trim off the tags, and toss into a glass gallon jar and sit on a sunny porch for a few hours. It’s one of the easiest (and tastiest) ways to brew tea – the sun really brings out these flavors well! YUM!
