Are you tired of the way your hair looks every day? Did you know that you can easily change the way your hair looks by simply using a flat iron? What most people don't realize is that they don't have to go and get a haircut, they don't have to change the color of their hair, all they have to do is straighten their hair with a good flat iron. The nice thing about a flat iron is that you don't have to be a professional to use them and with the tips that I am about to show you even you can make your hair look amazing time and time again.
The first thing that you need to understand about using a flat iron the right way is that it has to be hot enough or else it will not work. What most people don't realize is that when your flat iron is not hot enough and it is still warming up that your hair is going to look different from side to side. I know you might not think this will happen but if you look closely some of your hair is going to be straighter than the other side. Now some people think that they can just redo the one side that they started on and although you can do this, it will take more moisture out of your hair which will make both sides look different in another way. Trust me, just wait a few minutes to make sure your flat iron is as hot as it can be and then start straightening your hair.
Another thing that you need to do in order to straighten your hair properly is to always wash it before you do anything. The reason why you need to do that is because without washing your hair you will be forced to heat the dirt as well as your hair and although that won't change the look all that much, it is not good for your hair or the flat iron. Trust me, when it comes to flat irons the hot plates are really sensitive.
The final thing that you need to know is that you should not brush your hair once you are done straightening it. If you have knots in your hair then you need to get them out before you use the flat iron because if you don't the flat iron will miss some of your hair and it will look funny for hours.
