How to unlock Echolife Bm622 Wimax Modem's Admin Settings

This How-To is a procedure to unlock your Echolife BM622 CPE Wimax modem's Admin Settings. This is for Globe Wimax Modems so you can see additional settings, be advised not to play with your configuration if you don't know what you are doing.

It may make things worst, for those of you that doesn't receive your subscribed speed, i.e people who subscribed for the 1Mbps plan and receiving half or around 500kbps, your are bandwidth capped from Globe's datanet server. The modem has nothing to do with it. You will need to call customer service to update your account.

To unlock your Modem, open up a web-browser (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Oracle, Safari, Iceweasel, etc) and go to url "http://192.168.1.1" and login with this credentials, username: user and password:

http://192.168.1.1/html/management/account.asp

Press ctr-u to view source code. then scroll to find the admin username, and his password is the next string you will see in the line.

Copy it and save it, then you can use it to login with credentials, username:admin and password:yourpassword.

This guide only works on first gen BM622 CPE it will not work on new BM622 CPE Patched Firmwares, and the new slim BM622i Modems. I was informed by tech guys that all modems being released by Globe has new passwords with no exploit as of the moment. Passwords for these modems has been changed prior to delivery/installations.

For those of you who have the old firmwares you are lucky, It still remains to date.
