Free Domain and URL Forwarding courtesy of Dot.Tk

Today I am writing a tut about how to make a free domain by using dot.tk including use URL forwarding to the site. This time I will discuss the guidelines or how to register a free domain with dot.tk, and I think this dot.tk domain is the best.

I say that because usually when we use the free domain, then our blog will use a sub domain provider, such as "domainname.co.cc". But this time dot.tk provide full service domain, so that later the name of our site to be more succinct like "domainname.tk".

1. Sign on to Dot TK

The main thing of course open dot.tk site, then click "webdomain" in the navigation menu, it will be automatically forwards to the page.

After entry the page, we will choose a domain name we want, with a note that domain name is still available or not used by other people. In this example I create a domain with the name "levan-design", after writing a domain name click Next.

The Government of Tokelau has appointed BV Dot TK as the exclusive registration entity. BV Dot TK is doing business as the Dot TK Registry.

Step-I:

1. Go to Dot.tk website.
2. Enter your preferred domain name with .tk extension and click Next. If entered domain is available, you will be promoted for further steps.

3. Now it shows availability of your domain and asks whether you are continuing with free domain or not. For free domain you need to produce minimum of 25 hits per 90 days. Free domain has same services as paid domain. Select your choice and move on to next step.
