My Wi-Tribe Internet Service Personal Experience

I have been using a USB broadband connection for quite some time now. Well actually, I kind of tried it all - PLDT MyDSL, Globe Broadband, Smart Broadband, Destiny Cable, and just recently, the SUN Broadband service. I've been using wi-tribe for the past 5 months now. I'm subscribe to the 1mbps speed. Average speed based on my experience range from .40mbps-.80mbps. the service is quite reliable. The only thing the I dont like about it is the limit of 6GB for 1 month. Internet browsing alone(facebook, cityville all day and other zinga game took a lot of kilobytes ) if you watch you tube during peak hours it will ruin your budget for the kb for the whole month.

Wi-tribe rolls out first ‘tri-speed’ pre-paid Internet connection

In a move aimed at boosting its subscriber base, Internet broadband provider wi-tribe formally announced on Monday that it would now start offering its “4G” wireless Internet service in pre-paid.

Wi-tribe, which is jointly owned by Qatar Telecom (Qtel) and San Miguel Corp., previously offered its WiMax service exclusively in post-paid.

The service, the company pointed out, is “the first in the Philippines or perhaps in the world” to give pre-paid subscribers the ability to choose from “three speeds” for their connection in a single device.
